Mission
The Cornell University Library enriches the intellectual life of the University by fostering information discovery and intellectual growth, nurturing creativity, and partnering in the development and dissemination of new knowledge.

Vision
The Cornell University Library will enhance campus vitality and scholarly productivity by providing a stable and reliable knowledge base, organizing information into meaningful and manageable forms, making available well-equipped and functional work places on campus, and serving as a major cultural repository. We will be the information resource of choice for the majority of the Cornell community and serve an expanding clientele. We will provide our staff with a challenging and nurturing work environment, offering opportunities and incentives for experimentation.
