Engineering Library Renovations

The Engineering Library Renovation Project is being done in three phases.

Phase I - Design/Bid: This phase of the project was approved by the Capital Funding and Priorities Committee on February 17, 2004. Cornell has retained the services of HOLT Architects for schematic design, design development, construction documents, bid administration, and construction administration.

Phase II - Circulation Renovations: This phase of the project encompasses the renovation of the circulation area, as well as the addition of three staff offices, and a staff lounge. Specific changes to the circulation area include:

Refurbishing approximately 7500 square feet of the Engineering Library.

Relocating the CIT lab from the basement
to the first floor.

Creation of two small collaborative study
rooms on the first floor to accommodate
up to six students.
Development of additional spaces for
quiet study on the first floor.

Creation of a unified service desk that
incorporates the circulation and reference services.
