Italian History

The Italian History collection is strong, containing works on all periods and including the published papers and memoirs of prominent individuals. The major national and regional journals are represented. Current Collecting: CCI 4; LANGUAGE W
All periods of Italian History are covered from 1200 to the present. Periods before 1200 are collected by the Medieval Bibliographer and the selector for Classics and Ancient History. Particular emphasis is placed on the Renaissance, the Risorgimento of the Nineteenth Century, and the Fascist period of the Twentieth Century. The major national and regional journals are included. Subjects Covered: LC classes DG 401-583, DG 670-684.72, DG 791-800, DG 803-817.3, DG 861-869, DG 987-999, DF 701-951 Geographical Information: There are no geographical limitations on imprints, however, most items are published in Italy, Western Europe, and the United States.
