Mann Library Approval Book Transfers to Endowments Instructions for Mann Selectors Reviewing Yankee Books
The goal is to select Yankee Approval Plan books to be paid for using Mann endowments. Only Yankee books may be selected, not books arriving on other plans.
1. Using the documentation in the folder in the Mann box (currently on the Mann gift shelf), select an endowment which could be used for a given book.
2.Check the Tally sheet to see whether that endowment is being used, how many books are to be plated with that fund, and how many books have already been plated with that fund.
3. If books can still be plated with that fund, make a mark on the tally sheet next to the fund.
4. Write the fund number on the Yankee slip, making sure the number shows on all copies. Remove the to(white) copy, which you will take back to Mann, and replace the other copies in the book.
5. For all funds except 1150, which is not plated, locate a bookplate for the fund. Paperclip the book plate to the Mann selection flyer which you are putting in the book and return the book to the shelf.
6. When you return to Mann, give the top copies of the Yankee slips, with the fund numbers marked on them, to Eveline Ferretti.
