After some discussion, we decided to add a statement about copyright into
our required policy. This is what we will put under
II General
A. Obtain permission from copyright holders before mounting copyrighted
material on your web site. Statement of copyright permission should be
clearly visible.
Carmen will check some notes from a workshop Susan Currie went to about this to see if we can offer more wording or a link to a site.
We reviewed the Olin ILL form. Suggestions:
* Use CUL logo from http://www.library.cornell.edu/library/individ.html instead of shrunken banner logo. Suggest footer buttons.
* Kroch should be Olin Kroch/Asia instead of Kroch.
* We would rather have a form with choice of libraries (pull-down menus) instead of clicking on a library with the extra steps. We could model this after the Reference form somewhat.
* We preferred putting the information about book, journal, title, etc. near the top before the questions on source of reference. A logical flow would be name/address/email, etc.; book/title etc.; then source of reference.
* Put a few sentences at the top about ILL taking 2-3 weeks and that not filling out the form completely leads to delays.
Tony will incorporate these changes into a revised form. Tony, Carmen, and Nancy will meet with Julie Copenhagen about the form to hammer out more changes.
Carmen says Olin is processing global renewals. Should we add a "renew everything" button to our renewal form? Patricia should check with Catherine on whether or not this is now policy.
