We discussed the web logos that Laurie developed based on the new CUL logo.

Michael posted them at http://www.library.cornell.edu/design/newlogos.html

Please send feedback by the end of this week re: the color and size of the logos to the Design-L list or direct to Elizabeth Fontana (eaf3@cornell.edu). She needs input on various monitors, so please let us know what monitor / resolution etc you are using.

She is interested in learning:

1. What sizes work - ie, how small before the words get lost, how big before too much real estate is taken.
2. How do the colors work? (Comments like "not strong enough" are more helpful than "it needs more red").

Laurie is working on incorporating the logo into a horizontal banner with the Library's name for each Library home page and providing different logo options for smaller images on other pages. She will develop three: one with a short (informal) library name, one without a library name, and one that shows the image without a box or a name.

We may submit images to Elizabeth for our library homepages, the next time we meet, in two weeks.
