| Sound system inputs 11/03 |
Input 1: Portable Mic. Make sure the Master volume dial is ~12 o'clock position. If it's at zero, no sound may come up regardless of the Input settings! Also, if using more than one sound input (above), balance them using the inputs, and then use the Master dial to raise and lower the volumes uniformly. |

| Portable mic 11/03 |
If the red light on the portable unit flashes on several times when the unit is turned on, the battery is LOW. Replace the battery and notify Win Tanner. (With a new battery, the red light quickly blinks on/off once when the unit is turned on.) | |
| Spare Batteries 10/03 |

Either bring spare batteries appropriate to the devices you are depending on, or be prepared to buy some from the stockroom. |
| Computer Projector 10/03 |
The computer projector in 700 Clark Hall is a Sony VPL-X1000U LCD Data Projector (at the time of this writing.) Win Tanner has the remote. The remote is the only way to elegantly temporarily blacken the image without turning off the unit (which is otherwise awkward and time-consuming to do). The link to the right is a copy of the computer projector's user manual, which appears to be a photo-copy. This copy of the manual originally came from http://www.avtg.com. An installation-oriented operations manual (from 1/1/99) is also available, but does not appear to be useful for the general user. (It requires a password to open.) That manual came from Sony directly. The bulbs tend to last a long time and they are expensive, especially relative to the age of the projector unit. Thus, no spare bulb is provided. Random samples of where bulbs are apparently sold: $374.95, $381.26, and $606. Tip: Place the computer projector on one of the grey metal carts that have built-in tilt capabilities. |
