Research Interests

oya

With an interdisciplinary perspective involving the departments of Communication, Science and Technology Studies, and Information Science, my key research interests include:

  • Impact of sociocultural factors in appropriation of digital scholarly communication modes and collaboration patterns among different disciplines.
  • Role of social and organizational infrastructure factors (disciplinary practices, research methods, collaboration patterns, mutual dependencies, etc.) in interdisciplinary research and curation initiatives.
  • Innovative and novel uses of digital content and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in advancing and transforming scholarly conduct (conveniences and speed in accessing digital content vs. novel ways of conducting research).
