Documentation Committee Meeting:

Announcements:

• The minutes from last month’s meeting will be posted on Monday September 6.
• My Library will be undergoing changes later this fall.  We will need to adjust documentation accordingly.

ReDS update:

• ReDS did not meet this past month so there is nothing to report.

Find Articles and other quick guide updates:

• The committee discussed the Find Articles and Find Databases guides and offered suggestions for edits.  There was concern over the wording regarding Find Databases.  It will be changed so that it is clear that the Library Catalog is the only comprehensive resource for locating library resources.
• The Find Articles and Find Databases quick guides have gone to the copy center.
• Camille will edit the Find Articles guides further.
• The Find Articles/Find Databases/Find e-Journals FAQ will need edits.  Susan will update these pages and welcomes any suggestions.

Blackboard library integration update:
The Blackboard library integration documentation is posted.  Camille will be changing the documentation to address copyright issues related to linking to resources. 

Web pages update:
New Gateway Help web pages were made by the Documentation Committee last year, but they were not posted to because of a problem with the banner’s search box.  We will consider our options to replace the non-functioning search box.  Depending upon on how it will take to resolve the issue, we may post the new web pages without a search box.  Camille will look into this. 

The new test pages are at http://www.library.cornell.edu/t/devel-help/toc.html.  We will check the web pages to make sure that they are printer friendly.
