Documentation Committee Meeting Minutes 4/11/02

Present: Mary Patterson, Lee LaFleur, Mihoko Hosoi, Thad Dickinson, Jaime Martindale, Kornelia Tancheva

A. We discussed the responsibilities of the Print Documentation Coordinator and the need to appoint someone after the departure of Leah Solla. Mary volunteered to be the Print Documentation Coordinator.

B. We reviewed the Makepage template. Kornelia will follow up with Nan and work on the updating of our documentation.

C. We discussed new pages that need to be created. Thad volunteered to create a page on IE 6.0 for both PC's and Macs.

D. We reviewed the two recently created pages on Canned Searches (Jaime) and Call Numbers (Mihoko). Even though the keyword metatags seem correct, the keyword searching doesn't seem to be working. Kornelia and Lee will follow up on this. Kornelia will also ask Mann ITS to move the index.html page from gould to ivy in order to have the Canned Searches display on the index page.

E. Lee distributed a link checking report listing the bad links on the Help pages. We divided those in three and will work on them in pairs (Lee and Mary, Mihoko and Thad, Kornelia and Jaime.)
