Selection Workflow: Initial Selection

Things you will need to know in advance:

In addition to the usual bibliographic data, you will need to know the following in advance in order to select a new eResource:

  • Publisher/Provider
  • The budget code to which a purchase for this eResource should be charged
  • Whether a trial period will be required and, if so, the beginning and ending dates of the trial
  • Whether a trial license will be required
  • If the resource you are selecting should be attached to an existing bibligraphic record in the HERMES database, you will need to know its BIB ID

Type of Resource

The first step in this process is to choose a Type of Resource from the list below.
Abstracts and Indexes
Data Sets, Image Databases, etc.
Electronic Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers
Electronic Reference Books

BIB ID

If the item you are selecting should be attached to an existing HERMES bibliographic record, you must include the BIB ID of that record here. Otherwise, leave it blank
