Cornell Library Events Calendar
Frequently
Asked Questions
What is the
CUL Calendar?
The calendar provides an easy-to-use, efficient tool for scheduling, viewing and publicizing library events in one web-based location. It is a convenient way for anyone to learn more about what’s going on at the 17 campus libraries. It also provides library staff with a simple way to find out about major library staff and committee meetings. For event planners, it will be a handy tool for checking which dates are best for scheduling an event.
Who may use
the calendar?
The calendar is
available for viewing by everyone, but there are two separate views. Anyone using the site will see public events,
while library staff will also be able to see internal, library-only events such
as committee meetings.
What types of
public events may I find?
Public events
announced on the calendar include all events sponsored by any library unit
(lectures, workshops, book talks, conferences, poster sessions, exhibit
openings, reunion events, etc.). Registration requirements or other information
on eligibility for participation will be clearly indicated for each event.
What is a
“Quick search?”
A “Quick Search”
searches for single words (not phrases) on the title and speaker fields of the
events database only. If this search doesn’t yield the results you need, or for
more advanced searches on other fields, use the “Advanced Search” option.
