Kingtown Beach is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes in Trumansburg, New York, on the west shore of beautiful Cayuga lake. Secluded by woods, the cottages and campsites sit overlooking the lake, with a short walk to the stony beach area and docks. Our season opens the weekend of May 15 and we close the weekend of October 15. We rent two-bedroom cottages, campsites, and boat hoists. They are preferably rented by the season but we will rent on a nightly, weekly, and monthly basis.

Cayuga Lake, part of the Barge Canal System, is 42 miles long and the deepest spot is 435 feet with 3 1/2 miles being the widest. The lake is good for water skiing, jet skiing, boating, and fishing. It contains landlocked salmon, lake, brown, and rainbow trout, pickeral, pike, perch, bass, and smelt in the spring.
Kingtown Beach Cottages was established and built in 1968 by Chuck and Marge Fulton, consisting of four two-bedroom efficiency cottages. In 1972, the Fultons, with the help of family and friends cleared the upper wooded area above the cottages for a camping area, now consisting of 18 full hookup campsites. So where as, it became Kingtown Beach Cottages and Campsites. They also sold gas to boaters and had boat hoists that they rented. In 1987, Tom and Jill Reed bought the property from Jill's parents, from which they ran the business in the same way. In 1989, Tom and Jill decided to build a mini grocery store and carry out on the beach for the boaters to enjoy having somewhere to stop and have a hamburg or hotdog, something to drink, or an ice cream cone while fueling their boat. Now it is called Kingtown Beach Cottages, Campsites, and Carryout.
The property is located 8/10 mile from Route 89 with 4 acres
of woods and 380 feet of lake frontage. The cottages set nestled in a wooded
area with the lake just below. They are equipped with 2 bedrooms, a double bed
in each, a small bathroom with a shower, the kitchen/living area is one room,
They have electric heat, wall to wall carpeting, all the linens, cooking utensils,
stove top , refrigerator, toaster, microwave, Mr. Coffee, and a small b/w TV.
Outside there is a fire ring for cooking or just a campfire and picnic table
with outside chairs. Pets are welcome at an extra charge. Rates are based on
a family of four persons. Reservations are accepted if accompanied by a 50%
deposit. Deposits are non-refundable within one week of reservation.
The campsites are set in the woods above the cottages and are approximately
50x50 lots equipped with water, electricity, septic and winter storage. There
is a basketball court and playground with room for horseshoes, badminton or
volleyball. There are 31 boat hoists used for the cottages, campsites or just
to rent for the season. There is a private beach and dock for swimming, sunbathing
or fishing. The carryout on the beach is set up to stop by while boating, eat
in or take it with you. We sell burgers, homemade french fries, chicken wings,

few camping supplies including firewood.
