of research materials.

maintain standards for commercial binding and organize the necessary specification
and preparation functions.

maintain documentation systems designed to provide location, status, and
treatment information.

To preserve and
restore research materials in a cost-effective, reversible, and non-destructive
fashion.

To direct the
development of criteria designed to assist treatment specification, and
maintain systems for the identification of priorities and treatment schedule.

To organize and
direct collection maintenance activities and develop training programs for
library staff.

To develop overall
university preservation policies consistent with the goals and objectives
of the university.
