New Staff
Rhonda J. Allard has joined the Weill Cornell Physician Organization as the manager of the Myra Mahon Patient Resource Center in the new ambulatory care and medical education building, which is slated to open in January 2007. In the new building, the Patient Resource Center is centrally located and equipped with computer workstations, wireless Internet, consult rooms, and a lounge area for patients and their families. Rhonda comes to Weill Cornell from the New York Academy of Medicine, where she was the consumer health information coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region (2002-2006). Prior to that, she was a technical information specialist at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), Bibliographic Services Division (1995-1998) and the POPLINE liaison to NLM at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Communication Programs (1994-1995). We welcome Meredith McClure-Scott back to CUL. Meredith has joined the staff at the Adelson Library at the Lab of Ornithology as a collections assistant II. Her last position at CUL was as an information assistant at Mann Library. Meredith has an M.Ed. in secondary education and has worked as both a high school and middle school teacher in Maryland.
Staci Rogers accepted a position as assistant librarian in the Nestlé Library effective September 1. Staci, a recent M.A. Information Science graduate from Queens College, will be supervising the circulation team in the Nestlé Library and assuming new reference and instruction responsibilities.
