Endeavor/Reserve
Thursday, September 9, 1999

Present: John Saylor, Howard Raskin, George Kozak, Pat Schafer, Susan Currie (recorder)

Data Migration:
1. Should we migrate unlinked item records? Some (reserve records), all (reserve, short-term loan, unbound serial, miscellaneous) or none?
2. We need to identify what unlinked item records have been used for so that if we decide not to migrate any unlinked item records, we don't eliminate important records (e.g. permanent reserve)

OPAC/Endeavor
1. Can some records be suppressed from the OPAC so that only course reserve records display 2. What fields are included for the opac template for reserve (e.g. 856, title, course, etc.)?
3. How does the Imageserver connect with regular course reserve?
4. Are TIFF's or PDF's used for e-reserve or does it matter?
5. Is there a limit on simultaneous users?
6. With respect to electronic reserve, can Endeavor limit access to Cornell community only as they do with licensed databases?
7. Do thumbnails show in the opac?
8. What printing capabilities can we have (e.g. Netprint)?

Workflow/Technical
1. Will each unit have a scanner to send images to a central server?
2. What interfaces to university resources will we be able to have? Could we connect with the course/room roster or college catalog?
3. We will need training for entering information for opac and consistent use of abbreviations for course, professor, etc.
