- Bank of Japan provides the
exchange rate against
the dollar, monthly, 1973 - present. From the home page, click on "Download." The Exchange Rate Report is all the way at the bottom. Contains public statements, publications, statistics, and releases concerning the Bank of Japan.
- BIZ ED NET
provides British - U.S. monthly exchange rates from Jan 85 - present. Also contains annual
exchange rate data for many countries from 1950 - 1992. Downloads
as "comma separated" text. Office for National Statistics (UK) provides this data free
for educational use only. Includes summarized company reports for some 20 leading international firms. Topics include structure, product lines, recruitment & H.R. policies, marketing, strategy, and finance.
- FRED provides historical U.S. economic and financial data, including daily and monthly U.S. interest rates, T-bill rates, monetary and business indicators, historical exchange rates for over 30 currencies, and regional economic data for Arkansas,
Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. Also includes online publications: U.S. Financial Data & National Economics Trends.
- FT.com provides the full-text of about 1/3 of the current day's issue of Financial Times. It contains a searchable archive of 30 days. It also provides exchange rates, share prices, company briefings, and leading economic indicator data for several countries.
- International Business & Technology is a meta-index that links to U.S. and international e-journals & newspapers, T.V. and radio sites, technology-related sites, banks, currency sites, and market information.
- Pacific Exchange Rate Service
provides A minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 20 years of daily
exchange rates. Can select among 6 base currencies, although the service recommends
using Canada as the base currency. Updated regularly. Published by PACIFIC: Policy Analysis Computing & Information Facility in
Commerce; at the University of British Columbia.
