During the academic year, the library is open almost 100 hours per week. During these hours you may check out books and reserve items at our circulation & reserve desk. Reference staff offer a number of research workshops in the use of electronic resources. We also develop custom workshops to meet the needs of a particular course, subject, or department. These are described on our Workshop page. Request an Instruction session for you, your research team, or your course.

Cornell Library Catalog   Connect

  • Search the collection of over 7 million books, periodicals, and databases owned by Cornell University Library. Via the catalog you may also renew your books and recall books checked out by other individuals.

  • If an item you seek is not owned by Cornell, you may fill out our Purchase Request Form. While you await its arrival, you can borrow a copy owned by another University via Borrow Direct (provides access to the book collections of a small group of Ivy League universities with a 4-day delivery agreement) or Interlibrary Loan (accesses the book & journal article collections of much larger group of universities, with a 7-10 day delivery agreement).

  • Articles: Use the MyDocumentDelivery Pilot service to obtain PDF copies of articles, book chapters, and other materials from the Mann, Veterinary and Entomology Library collections. There is a fee for each request. It is anticipated that this service will become campus-wide.

  • On-campus print materials: On January 22, 2004, the Library began to offer delivery of on-campus print materials for pickup at the Management Library (or any other campus library). Restrictions do apply, but the majority of books and related print items may be delivered via this new service. Accessible via the Library Catalog.
