Visitor Information
Cornell University Library serves primarily the members of Cornell University.
However, the University allows all visitors with research needs to use the libraries'
collections, providing use does not conflict with its primary responsibility
to members of the Cornell community.
Finding Us On Campus
The Management Library is on the first floor of Sage Hall on the
Cornell Campus. We are located on the corner of Campus Road and East Ave.
Consult Cornell's visitors
page, which gives directions to campus, city and campus maps, local accommodations,
and campus parking restrictions.
Use of Materials Within the Library
Any person may visit the Cornell University libraries and use, on-site
and free of charge, materials that are needed for professional or scholarly
research purposes but are unavailable in his or her college or public library.
Vendecard-operated photocopy machines are available; vendecards may be purchased for use in the machines. There is no public printing; users should bring 3 1/2" floppy disks to download results. E-mailing of results is also possible.
Borrowing Privileges
Individuals may qualify for borrowing privileges. Categories of
users who qualify (as well as borrowing policies) are available on the Visiting
Reader Policies page. Applications for Library Cards are available in
room 101, Access Services Division in Olin Library. Applications will be processed
and cards issued generally within 24 hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday
through Thursday, Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students enrolled at other
institutions and all other visitors should discuss borrowing from Cornell
with interlibrary loan staff at their home institutions.
