Some fun, related history on how PrintKey 2000 became the pervasive utility within CUL!

Subject: circ, printing, and voyagerHey, all.
As I'm sure any of you that have done any playing around with the circ module in Voyager know, it has no native "on demand" printing ability.
This causes problems with circulation procedures that require a hard copy of the information available on the screen, either to hand to a patron or save for later use (tracers, claims returned, etc.).
We at Mann are going to be using a "printscreen" program, PrintKey 2000, to overcome this deficiency. I expect that many of you at other libraries might want to do the same.
PrintKey Pro is shareware and has a $20 registration fee:

However, you can still get the freeware version of PrintKey 2000 at:
http://www.freewareweb.com/graphics2.html
That's what we're using. ;)
Note: the only drawback with using a printscreen program is you need to have a decent printer to print it out to. Dot-matrix printers aren't going to cut it.
LMK if you have any questions/comments.
