An online photo library of Cornell's priceless collection of glass sea life sculptures created by 19th century glass artists Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka. Cornell is one of a handful of academic institutions with a collection of invertebrate sculptures by the renowned father-son Blaschka team. Under the curatorship of Drew Harvell, the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is undertaking the collection's full restoration. Staff at the Albert R. Mann Library developed the web-based infrastructure and interface design that is providing world-wide public access to photos of restored pieces in this teaching collection, and Mann Library is one of three locations on the Cornell campus where a selection of Blaschka sculptures is on public view for campus visitors.
