 The
card catalog was moved to the lower level of Olin Library. This move has
opened up space on the first floor of Olin for more computing while still
allowing public access to the card catalog. The National
Union Catalog has also moved from the 1st floor and is located near
the card catalog.
The card catalog in Olin contains records for some older humanities and social science collections (pre 1973) that are housed in Olin Library and the Library Annex, and a portion of the rare books collection housed in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections of Kroch Library. Cornell will bedigitizing the remaining records in its card catalog and
adding them to its online catalog. It is expected that the conversion
will be completed by early 2005.
