Information for American Indian Studies
The Collection Olin Library houses the majority of materials in American Indian Studies among disciplines such as history, archaeology, government, linguistics, literature, sociology, folklore, women’s studies, and others. Mann Library (physical and biological anthropology, rural sociology, education), Music, Fine Arts, Law, and other Cornell libraries also hold resources in American Indian Studies. In the Summer of 2004, Cornell acquired the Huntington Free Library Collection -- vastly enriching its resources in American Indian materials. The collection is currently being evaluated and processed for incorporation into the larger collection in Olin and Kroch Libraries. Reference, Research Consultation, and Collection Development Reference staff are available on a walk-in basis at reference desks in every library. They can assist in locating print and online texts or journal articles, recommending reference and information resources, or database search strategies. Research Consultations: Reference staff can also meet with Cornell-affiliated patrons one-on-one to discuss search strategies for specific research needs. To request a consultation, fill out the Consultation Request Form. Can't find it at Cornell?
