Olin Library, just outside the printing support center and behind the Olin information/reference desks. The disks are shelved to the right inside the printing support center. Please ask for help at the Olin Library reference desk, if needed. Individual consultations are available on the use of ETC resources. |

Scanning and OCR are no longer available as an ETC service. Facilities for
digitizing and editing are available in the Tower
Room computer lab on the Gallery level in Uris Library, in the Map
Collection and the Media Center on the B Level of Olin Library, and at the CL3 Creation
Stations.
The Assistive Technology Workstation, formerly located in the ETC, is now to the right of the hallway to Kroch Library in the main public computer area opposite the reference desks.
This workstation is for the use of disabled students. The hardware and software is supported by CIT and
desktop services. User support from Cyrus Hamilton in the Center for Learning
and Teaching. Software includes Dragon Naturally Speaking, JAWS, Universal Reader,
E-text Reader, Text Audio. Headset available. |

PURPOSE OF THE ELECTRONIC TEXT CENTER
- Provide access to scholarly indexes, bibliographies, reference materials, and electronic text and multimedia documents from a set of dedicated workstations in the library and from the Center's Web site
- Work with library selectors and Cornell faculty and students to identify, acquire, and organize electronic indexes, texts, and multimedia programs
- Assist users through instruction, consultation, and demonstration of electronic resources
