Resolving Netprint Problems (Netprint Operators, only)

Go to the Netprint Operator page. You will be prompted for your Net ID and password.

Choose Printer Status

Scroll Down to find the Olin Library or Uris Library Netprint printers. (Note: Be sure to choose the Uris Library Netprint printers and not simply Uris Netprint. If it doesn't say "library", it's one of the Computer Lab printers.

Click on the appropriate printer to see the list of jobs in the queue

There is usually a long list of jobs in the queue.

If a print job is stalled, (usually because the file is very large) other print jobs in the queue will not print. Click the checkbox next to the stalled job and use the pull-down menu to highlight Cancel Selected Jobs. Click submit

Note: It sometimes works to redirect a stalled print jobto a less busy printer.

If you have cleared a stalled job but problems persist, or there is a paper jam you can't remove, you can Redirect all Print Jobs.

Place a sign on the redirected printer to let users know that their print jobs have been redirected to another printer. Send a note to cul-dshelp-l to report the problem and cc: lmk7@cornell.edu.
