- The FactSearch Database is a guide to statistical statements on current social, economic, political, environmental and
health issues, derived from some 1,000 newspapers, periodicals, newsletter and documents such as the Christian
Science Monitor, the Congressional Record, Congressional hearings, Daily Press Briefings of the White House,
State Department and Department of Defense, and Australian, British and Canadian Parliamentary Debates. Web
links to free full text are included frequently. Covering 1984 to present and updated every six weeks, FactSearch is
the FirstSearch implementation of the A Matter of Fact database produced by Pierian Press, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
