From Ovid Support (WebSpirs/SilverPlatter) Center:

The new “Direct Export” feature requires additional files to be downloaded into your EndNote “Filter” directory, in order to take advantage of directly downloading records into EndNote.

First, download the file named silverplatter.enf by clicking on the Attached File link below.

After you download the file, place it in the EndNote/Filter directory.

To take advantage of the new feature in WebSPIRS:
- perform a search
- use the checkboxes to select the record(s) you wish to export into Endnote
(you can choose “all in the set”, in which case you would not need to check any records)
- click on the disk icon, to “Save”.

When the Save Records screen opens:
- click the radio button to “Export to Procite, EndNote or Reference Manager”.
- follow the prompts.
- Open the “SilverPlatter.enl” folder that you downloaded.

This will automatically bring your records into the EndNote program.

Note: EndNote has identified issues with EndNote 8.0.0 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
A free upgrade to Endnote 8.0.1 is available from ISI:
