RESOLVED: That a standing committee on Professional
Development be established, comprised of five members appointed for two
year staggered terms. The Director of Library Human Resources, or the
Director's designee from Library Human Resources, shall be invited to
serve as an ex-officio member. The committee shall promote and provide

and mission of Cornell University Library.
In keeping with the Assembly Bylaws, each
Standing Committee shall keep records of its proceedings. Records might
include agendas, minutes, correspondences, memorandums, project reports,
survey results, special reports, publicity announcements, and other items
of archival importance. A printed copy of electronic records should be
made for archival purposes. The committee chair at the end of the fiscal
year shall pass the most recent two years of the Standing committee's
records to the next chair of that committee, and transfer any inactive
records to the University Archivist.
