Getting to Ithaca
Cornell University is located in Ithaca, NY, which is about 4 hours driving time from New York City and Philadelphia, 6 hours driving time from Boston, and 5 hours driving time from Toronto. Tompkins County Airport is the local airport (10 minutes from campus), but is served by only one carrier (US Airways), with non-stop service to hubs in Pittsburgh, Washington (Dulles), Boston, NY-Laguardia, and Philadelphia. Less convenient (1.25 hours from campus) but with more airline alternatives (United, American, Northwest, Continental, Delta) is Syracuse Hancock Airport. For more details go to the Cornell-supplied page for travel to Cornell and Ithaca, NY.

Where to Stay
We have made arrangements for discount lodging at the Holiday Inn, located in downtown Ithaca. It is on the public transit system route and the hotel also provides a shuttle service to the University. The rates are $89 + tax for single or double occupancy. To secure a reservation, please call the Holiday Inn directly at 607-272-1000 (note: do not use the 800 number or you will not get the special rate). Be sure to mention that you are attending the Moving Theory Into Practice Digital Imaging workshop at Cornell. Reservations must be made at least 30 days prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, no student housing is available on the Cornell campus during the dates of the workshops.

Getting to the Library
The Holiday Inn has a shuttle to Cornell. You can also take public transportation ($0.75 fee). For a small city, Ithaca has an excellent public transit system (TCAT). Here is a map and schedule for a route of interest to workshop attendees:
