ASPC Steering Committee
Minutes June 19, 1998
Present: Carmen Blankinship, Susan Currie, Lori Micho, Howard Raskin
Joel Zumoff attended the meeting to discuss NOTIS 6.4.1 testing. 6.4.1 provides circulation fixes, year 2000 fixes and other upgrades; the interface will look the same as 6.3.
LTD has set a tentative date of July 6 for testing 6.4.1. To help facilitate testing, all circulation departments are being asked to send ten patron records and twenty book records to LTD. Patron records should include different patron categories (grad, faculty, etc.), and book records should reflect a variety of locations and loan periods. A cumulative list of patron and book records will be made available to all circulation departments to use for testing.
A NOTIS 6.4.1 stress test (details to be announced) has been tentatively scheduled for the weekend of July 11th. Carmen suggested having the stress test during the week. We agreed that this would only be possible if the test system and the production system can be running simultaneously. Joel will check into this.
Howard volunteered to coordinate the Access Services Steering Committee for the next six months. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 2, at 9:00 at the Hotel Library.
