| At the April, 2005 BIG meeting, Suzanne Cohen provided a demonstration of two resources:
SOCRATES (available in ILR and Management libraries): Brief description: Includes information about the social records of more than 3,000 U.S. and international companies; Presents the research in the form of company profiles, involvement reports, and social ratings; Allows filtering and exporting of data by specific criteria. See the Social Ratings Issues Grid for details about criteria used for ratings. Economic Research Institute's (ERI) Full Analyst's Series (available in ILR library). Brief description: Includes Geographic, Salary, Executive Compensation, and Relocation Assessors, job descriptions and much more. A detailed description of these products and their capabilities can be found at ERI's web site. The most frequently used product is the Salary Assessor, which provides wage and base salary (mean and median) ranges for over 5,600 position titles as compiled from available published wage and salary survey sources. Estimates may be adjusted for user inputs of salary planning date, metro area, industry, and company size. |
