Senior Management Group
The SMG was formed in 1995 by the then University Librarian, Alain Seznec, to take responsibility for the system-wide coordination of library functions.
The Group was chaired on a rotating basis by the two Associate University
Librarians, Ross Atkinson and Catherine Murray-Rust, and was formally
charged to:
- advise the University Librarian on the design and implementation of all Library operations with special emphasis on, but not limited to, digital services
- coordinate the operation of all library services as authorized by the University Librarian.
After her arrival in August, 1996, the University Librarian, Sarah Thomas,
chaired the Group. The Senior Management Group was dissolved in August 1997, and replaced by the Executive Team.
