Notes from the September 18, 2002 Meeting

Attending: Ross Atkinson, Lee Cartmill, Karen Calhoun, Tom Hickerson, Janet McCue, Jean Poland, Sarah Thomas, Ed Weissman

The Library Management Team discussed the strategy the Library will follow with regard to the Elsevier renewal and agreed that the Library needs to develop a plan to reach out to the university community and explain the difficult choices we are facing.  By educating faculty and administrators about this, we hope to achieve greater flexibility in negotiating with Elsevier next year.
