Library Management Team
Notes from the April 16, 2003 Meeting

1) Announcements
Claire announced that the Law Library had received the 2003 Excellence in Marketing Award from the American Association of Law Libraries.

2) Library Workforce Planning
Sarah reported that she had met with the Library and Related Information Services (LARIS) Workforce Planning Lead Team.  Work is underway to collect data including about the Library, including the development of a staff survey to be administered in mid-May.

3) Mainstreaming Support for ENCompass
Karen presented her proposal for migrating support for the ENCompass e-Reference Collection and Digital Collections from the ENCompass Working Group to existing functional and administrative groups over the summer so that the ENCompass Working Group can be disbanded.  This involves revising the charge of the OPAC Team to incorporate support responsibility for the ENCompass public interface and for LinkFinderPlus extended services and also involves adding members with ENCompass/XML experience to the OPAC Team   LMT endorsed the proposal.  It was  suggested that consideration be given to merging the Gateway Committee and the OPAC Team creating one group with responsibility for the Library's public interfaces.

4) Budget
LMT continued reviewing budget reduction opportunities, following up on discussions held on March 24 and April 2.
