Help : Research Tools : CU Library Catalog : Frequently Asked Questions :

Why can't I renew my books through the catalog?

The majority of circulating library materials can be renewed through the catalog. There are, however, a few exceptions:
  • If a Hold or Recall has been placed on an item, it cannot be renewed, but rather must be returned to the library for the requesting reader.
  • Reserve materials cannot be renewed through the catalog.
  • Patrons who are blocked will not have the option to renew any materials through the catalog.
  • There could be a problem with your patron information record. See staff at any circulation desk for assistance or further information.
