Conversations with Kluge


Alexander Kluge – a leading public intellectual, filmmaker and cultural theorist in Germany – has created a vast body of ambitious work over the past half-century, and a newly expanded website from Cornell University Library makes much of it freely accessible.

The core of Alexander Kluge: Cultural History in Dialogue, which went online in 2006 and was revamped this year, is a series of streaming videos of conversations that originally aired on German television. In these interviews, Kluge spoke with major figures of German cultural and intellectual life and with international scholars.
