With just the click of your mouse, LibX gives you access to Cornell University Library's online resources. Highlight a phrase or key word, right click and instantly search the online catalog or Google Scholar to discover Library materials on that subject. This Firefox plugin is much more than a toolbar! It gives users immediate access to online journal articles and more.
Toolbar for Library catalog searches, wherever & whenever you need them: Search your library catalog directly from the LibX toolbar or by using the right-click (or context menu).
Off-campus access to electronic resources: LibX checks your CU status when you're away from campus, making it appear as though you are coming from an on-campus computer.
Full text access to articles: LibX uses Google Scholar to search for articles and directs the user to the electronic copy subscribed to by your Library. Select a citation, then drag-and-drop it onto the Scholar button on the toolbar. You can use this feature even from inside a PDF file, which makes retrieving papers referenced in a PDF file a snap.
Quick links in Google, Amazon, & elsewhere to Cornell resources: LibX places cues in web pages you visit if Cornell has resources related to that page. Whenever you see the cue , click on the link to look at what the Library has to offer. For instance, book pages at Amazon or Barnes & Noble will contain cues that link to the book's entry in the Cornell online catalog. Copyright LibX is distributed under the Mozilla Public License.
